As Auxiliarists serving under the United States Coast Guard, we should all take pride in wearing our uniforms.
It is important to note that you must wear the entire uniform as prescribed. There is no in-between. Members lacking parts of any particular uniform may not wear the uniform until they have acquired all required items. Instead, they must wear either civilian clothes or the Auxiliary blue blazer. See the Uniform Procurement Guide for assistanceFurthermore, uniform items must be officially certified by the United States Coast Guard. Substitution of similar items is not authorized. (Example: You may not wear blue slacks purchased at a civilian store in lieu for the official blue wool Coast Guard slacks made for wear with the Tropical Blue uniform)
Belts: There is an appropriate bucikle to be worn on spcific uniforms and they are not to be interchangeable under any circumstances. In is not acceptable to wear an ODU belt/buckle with the Tropical Blue uniform. Conversely, it is not acceptable to wear the Tropical Blue belt/silver buckle with the ODU uniform. Civilian belts and buckles are not authorized on any uniform.
