Coast Guard Jamboree Task Force
Fellow Guardians assigned to the Motor Boating Merit Badge,My name is Brian Rollins and I am the Commander of Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 73 in Portland, OR. I’ve just been asked to coordinate our efforts to teach motor boating to these young men. We haven’t much time to prepare, but the former leader of this effort was reassigned to Operation Deep Horizon.
This will be my first Jamboree so if any of you have any experience here and/or have suggestions, please feel free to email me at Commander@Flotilla73.org or call me. I can be reached at 503-807-8513 at most anytime.
My plan is to use this web page to coordinate our efforts and track tasks/issues associated with our mission.
Please bookmark this page and check back frequently and I’ll be posting additional information on a regular basis.

Please find the attached OPLAN for the Motorboating Merit Badge.
This is version 1.0 of the document and should cover most of the questions you may have about what to expect at the Jamboree.
Please consider this a “living document” as I will be adding to it as additional information becomes available.
Additionally, please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions.

Please email a current copy of your orders and your Youth Protection Training certificate to “bchapp @ verizon.net”
(Please remove the spaces. They were included so that Ben doesn’t get too many offers from Nigeria).
This needs to be complete NLT 18 Jun 2010.
Please copy me in your email (Commander@Flotilla73.org) and I will check your name off the list.
