The Coast Guard Auxiliary promotes safe boating through various educational programs. The Recreational Safety Visitor Program (RBSVP) is one of these programs. The purpose of this program is to promote safe boating through continuing education of the general public and various businesses. This is accomplished through the distribution of safety/boating-related literature. The various businesses that participate in this program are known as Program Partners.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is constantly looking for local businesses, offices and marine dealership to participate in the RBSVP. If you are a marine dealer; manage a hardware store, a vessel rental agency, a marine repair agency, a marina, a dive and/or snorkel shops; or a doctor or dentist who is concerned about boating safety this program is for you to sign up as a Program Partner. One of the best things about being a Program Partner is that it costs you nothing. Coast Guard Auxiliary personnel will set up a tabletop display and keep it stocked with literature.
As a Program Partner you will have the satisfaction of working with the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, the United States Coast Guard and Florida agencies. You will also benefit the general public by making the boater aware of federal, state and local safety requirement and where to seek further information. You will also provide the public through the distribution of the literature with a better understanding of the responsibilities of a boater or boating passenger. Finally, you will assist in guarding the safety of our waterways by providing the public with information on Waterway Watch and Marine Domain Awareness programs.
You as a Program Partner can help save lives and property by having important safety information available in your place of business. If you would like to participate in this important safe boating program, click email ProgramVisitation@Flotilla73.org
